Dr. Kim Marshall, a former Boston Public Schools teacher, principal, and central-office curriculum director, has partnered with ELI to deliver informal monthly one-hour “chats” beginning in September 2024 through June 2025.
He publishes the weekly Marshall Memo, www.marshallmmemo.com summarizing best practices from 60 publications, and is the author of The Best of the Marshall Memo, Books One and Two (Epigraph, 2019, 2020).

Dr. Donna Elam is an internationally recognized leadership development educator who specializes in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Dr. Elam is the founder of the Elam Leadership Institute, a leadership development think tank advising educational, government, and law enforcement agencies in the application of DEI initiatives for diverse populations throughout the United States and US territories, specializing in educational initiatives for K-12 students. She additionally serves as a senior advisor for equity at the federally funded National Comprehensive Center at Westat, which assists regional centers, states, and local clients to address priority needs and tackle high-leverage challenges in education.

Throughout the year ELI offers single topic 3-hour PD workshops on relevant trends and issues in education. Topics include social-emotional learning, bullying in the school community, English as a New Language and creating an inclusive school. The workshops are scheduled at ELI centers in each borough. They are open to all CSA members and they are provided at no expense to the participants. Attendance and participation in the workshops also provide CTLE hours for those members who must satisfy their certification requirements.
ELI offers this program in educational leadership at no expense to the participants. The program is designed to support newly assigned (1-2 years) Assistant Principals, Education Administrators, Early Childhood Directors and Assistant Directors. It culminates in a third year program for aspiring principals.

The Executive Leadership Institute offers customized professional development for schools, districts, and school leaders based on a fee structure. Our consultants will design a program for you based on your needs. We can accommodate specific requests whether you need special assistance with your instructional walkthroughs, guidance on how to interpret data to help guide curriculum or workshops on school climate.
