Arnold Goldstein

In a career spanning more than forty years, Arnold Goldstein has worked in New York City and Nassau County Long Island. Beginning as a high school social studies teacher (Brooklyn Tech, John Dewey, Edward R. Murrow, Townsend Harris), he served as assistant principal (Martin Van Buren HS), principal (Cardozo HS, Jericho HS), assistant superintendent (Bellmore-Merrick) and superintendent (North Bellmore). Working collaboratively with committed professionals, he sought to foster a school culture that nurtures and supports students with diverse needs. Additionally, he is grateful to have had the opportunity to mentor talented teachers and administrators who are currently serving as educational leaders throughout the metropolitan area. After retiring from North Bellmore in 2013, Mr. Goldstein returned to his roots in NYC and has worked at ELI, developing and conducting leadership workshops, supporting new principals and assistant principals, preparing schools for Quality Reviews and serving as liaison and staff developer on the MPPR, the newly adopted rubric for evaluating principals.
