Cynthia Mullins is a retiree of the New York City Department of Education. She has held the positions as teacher, reading instructor, assistant principal and a former elementary school principal. During her administrative tenure some of her career highlights consisted of raising her school from a School in Need of Improvement (SINI) within one year in the area of science, achieving master school recognition two consecutive years in reading and resulting in being recognized as one of the ten best elementary schools in New York City. She has earned her Post Master Advance Certification in Administration/Supervision and a Master of Science Degree from City College of New York and a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College. Ms. Mullins has worked as an adjunct professor in Special Education for the College of New Rochelle, provided training to early childhood teachers as a facilitator for Bankstreet College and a Special Education Intervention Therapist for children 3 years and under. She currently serves as a member for the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) a non profit organization, coaching assistant principals in best practices in instructional leadership.
