Dan Korb

Daniel Korb served as the principal of the High School of Applied Communication for eight years. He was also the Assistant Principal for Social Studies as well as the AP for Organization at Long Island City High School. In addition to collaborating with CUNY to bring the Kids Make History and American Social History programs into the school, he gave summer workshops at Bard College on teaching the history of immigration. His career with NYC schools began as a special education teacher of Social Studies in a District 75 school and later as a general education Social Studies teacher. Dan is a graduate of SUNY at Stony Brook and has degrees in History and School Administration from Queens College. Currently, he is a mentor for High School Assistant Principals.
