Dr. Eloise Messineo

Dr. Eloise Messineo currently serves as the Executive Director for the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) – a not- for-profit organization designed to afford all New York City school leaders with the leadership training necessary to fulfill their responsibilities as instructional leaders in their school communities. Dr. Messineo is the liaison to many college and university partners delivering professional development and mentoring to aspiring school leaders. She is a frequent conference participant at major NYC leadership conferences and heads a Summer Leadership Institute providing an opportunity to learn about current trends in education. She earned her Ph.D. from New York University, a Master of Science Degree from Springfield College, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Brooklyn College. As Principal of Louis D. Brandeis High School in Manhattan, she created a resource-rich learning environment in which students were encouraged to strive for academic excellence, social responsibility and a true liberal arts education.

Dr. Messineo has been a Fellow in the Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished New York City Principals; a Fellow in the Education Policy Fellows Program; and a Senior Fellow in the Global Education Policy Fellows Program – a collaborative with Columbia University Teachers College, Michigan State University and the Institute of Educational Leadership, Washington, D.C. She has provided leadership in the global educational community by making presentations at international, national and local conferences in China, Washington, D.C. and New York City, respectively. Dr. Messineo has travelled recently to Beijing, Shanghai, London, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland and New Zealand to engage in professional development opportunities.
