Dr. Lori Allen is a former New York City educator with over 32 years of experience. During her tenure she served as a math teacher, Instructional Specialist, Math Coach, Assistant Principal and District Curriculum Specialist. Experienced in all levels of schooling, Dr. Allen served schools with an abundance of K-16 knowledge in curriculum development, instructional support systems, pedagogical reinforcement, organizational management, capacity building and leadership coaching. As a professional developer Dr. Allen facilitated a variety of school and district-wide trainings.
She earned her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University, a Master of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from St. John’s University and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from SUNY College at Old Westbury. She served as Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at CUNY Brooklyn College Graduate School of Education for 10 years, Walden University online, Touro College, CUNY School of Professional Studies and Yeshiva University.
In the onset of her consulting career, Dr. Allen served as an Outside Educational Expert (OEE) in School districts across New York State conducting DTSDE District Lead Reviews. Presently Dr. Allen is a coach/mentor working with School Leaders and Educational Administrators as they embark on their journey.
