Erica Zigelman is a proud product of the New York City Public School System. With 40 years of education experience she has served as teacher, mentor, coach and is the founding principal of The Salome Urena Leadership Academy located in Washington Heights. During her time as principal, Ms. Zigelman was selected as a Cahn Fellow For Distinguished Principals ( class of 2011) and a graduate of the NYC Leadership Academy For Aspiring Principals (APP Cohort 2). She received numerous CSA Performance Bonuses (Tier 1 and 2). She has also presented at numerous conferences on STEM, MLL, Effective Teacher Teams, Time Management and Analyzing School Data: What’s Next?
