Joanne Frank currently serves as a Mentor to Assistant Principals and has provided support as a Coach to Renewal School Principals. Additionally, she has served as a consultant to Principals and their Cabinets on a variety of school competencies needed to effectively run their schools. She earned her Professional Diploma from St. John’s University, a Master’s of Science from St. John’s University, a Master’s of Science from William Paterson College and a Bachelor’s of Science from St. John’s University. As Principal of Norman Thomas High School, she created a Business Support Team (BEST) comprised of a cross section of members of the school community as well as university and business partners. This partnership resulted in a collaboration which enhanced educational programs and brought additional resources to the school. Under her leadership, the school earned certification in three CTE Programs and increased the graduation and college readiness rate. In addition to serving as Principal, Mrs. Frank worked as the Assistant to the Superintendent of Vocational High Schools for Special Education and Deputy Director of Special Education in the Division of High Schools. She has provided instruction to aspiring teachers and administrators in a number of colleges and universities as well as making presentations at conferences.
