Marilyn Hirschfield has been an educator for over 30 years. As a Teacher, Teacher in Charge, Assistant Principal and Principal, she has ensured high quality education for her students, supported staff to enhance their craft and developed strong and positive community relationships. As an administrator, her school has been designated as a NYS Reward School and Honor School. She has presented at the NYS Model Inclusion Conference. As an adjunct professor at Oneonta and The College of St. Rose, Marilyn has supported aspiring educators to reach their goals. She has worked for ELI for the past four years as a mentor and consultant and continues to engage in mentoring and supporting new Assistant Principals as they begin their journey as an administrator. Additionally, Marilyn has presented DASA workshops as well as the many other single topic workshops presented by ELI. Creating a positive relationship with her mentees and engaging them in reflection while learning best practices, Marilyn has cultivated strong leaders who understand students, teachers and community needs.
