ELI presenters Annette Kunin and Cynthia Mullins delivered the workshop Building Diversity through the Arts at the 89th NYSCESPA Convention on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 held at the Brooklyn Marriott Hotel. The engaging professional development is designed to help school leaders increase students’ participation in the arts and develop an understanding of why diversity, equity, and cultural identity needs to be included in arts education.
The presentation was well received by the registrants. While Annette Kunin and Cynthia Mullins examined a blueprint for teaching and learning arts from a leader’s perspective, participants celebrated the arts in their schools through workshop discussions.
