Ron Weiss served as the Assistant Principal of Administration and Organization at Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn for 24 years. Prior to that he spent 10 years as a high school mathematics teacher at Edward R. Murrow High School and John Jay High School. Upon his retirement from the New York City Department of Education in 2005, he has worked as an educational consultant and mentor. He has been an adjunct instructor in the Educational Leadership Program at Brooklyn College where he designed and taught a course entitled “Management and Finance Functions in Educational Leadership.” He also worked as a mathematics consultant and mentor for the Teaching Fellows Program at Brooklyn College where he mentored newly assigned teachers. He joined the ELI team in 2006 as a consultant specializing in high school supervision and administration. He has created and presented numerous professional development workshops for educational leaders. From 2011 to 2013 he also served as the Director of Marketing for ELI. His professional organization memberships include NASSP, ASCD and Phi Delta Kappa.
