A blueprint of a school environment that optimizes the way students learn, teachers teach, and the school community interacts to ensure positive outcomes for students is central to a school’s success. During this workshop, school leaders discuss school environment audits, environmental engineering ideas and assess their own school’s physical layout using a learning environment checklist. The workshop also delves into how to support students’ mental health. Development of positive mental health hinges upon norms, values, and expectations that support students feeling socially, physically, and emotionally safe. [ST82]
