Designing for Equity and School Improvement Community of Practice (CoP) 3 of 4

Dr. Donna Elam, founder of the Elam Leadership Institute will facilitate a Community of Practice (CoP) for the Executive Leadership Institute titled, “Designing for Equity and School Improvement”. A CoP is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly” (Wenger-Traynor, 2018). The format of the CoP will consist of three (3-hour) onsite sessions at the Executive Leadership Institute (40 Rector – Manhattan) headquarters and a one-hour virtual check-in intersession meeting. The sessions are:
Session 1: October 12, 2023 (In Person)
Check In: December 7, 2023 (Virtual)
Session 2: January 11, 2024 (In Person)
Session 3: March 28, 2024 (In Person)
Expected outcome:
• Community members will increase their knowledge and skills to identify, implement, and measure equity indicators to implement to improve school success.
