Grounding Educational Equity for Leaders with Equity Indicators

Presenters: Dr. Donna Elam, CEO/Elam Leadership Institute and Don Barfield
This session will be interactive for administrators to create educational systems that demonstrate a belief that all children can learn at high levels. Administrators will be provided time to review and discuss the latest research in educational equity while identifying their leadership philosophy, vision, and core values. Administrators will be provided time to review and discuss the latest research in educational equity as well as crosswalk research to practice, extending knowledge and skills for systemic equitable practices.
Administrators will:
• Develop a personal Leadership Philosophy for Equitable Outcomes.
• Discuss the National Academy of Sciences: Monitoring Equity Indicators in CRSE efforts.
• Prioritize Equity Indicators for your respective system.
