This workshop is to provide tips to prepare for the Principal Performance Observation (PPO) using the Multidimensional Principal Performance Rubric (MPPR). Participants will have an opportunity to review tools, reflect on previous PPOs, and revamp priority statements in preparation for their next PPO.

This workshop focuses on helping school leaders gain a working knowledge of student autonomy. It explores the characteristics of student centered learning and student assessment. School leaders examine the difference between teacher centered and student centered learning. The workshop leads to next steps when observing student engagement and student assessment.

Participants will explore a wide range of possible partnerships for school leaders to enhance student social/emotional and academic outcomes. Participants develop databases of partners available in the school community and identify contact information of possible matches.

This workshop will focus on the various stages of adult development. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the developmental stages associated with experiences in cognitive and social changes which are divided into early middle and later adulthood. These stages are marked by specific developmental task and challenges.

This workshop will increase a principal's knowledge of special education in NYC including the terminology, the laws that govern it on the federal, state, and local levels, and the principal's responsibilities.
